You lower the temperature of the object touched a substantial degree. This can be used in pretty much any way you desire, whether it be to chill fruit or preserver food.

The duration of the spell is a number of hours equal to the caster's Spell Rank, and the spell may be extended for an equal length of time for an additional 3ep. The effect may be maintained this way indefinitely if the caster so desires.

Extending the spell does not require concentration as long as the caster is in the presence of the materials being chilled.
